We will engage in key literary concepts including character, conflict, setting, plot, and theme, among others. Throughout this unit, students will participate in oral production, listening, representing, viewing, and writing activities, as well as vocabulary building activities. We select a novel that the teacher reads aloud to the students. There is a variety of activities planned for this unit, including a research project (first term).
